![]() 18x8 in front and 18 x 8.5 in the rear if your dead set on the stagger look. Im thinking 18 x 8 all around is max for the v6 with minimal power loss. Those wheels should be on a GT or higher. They are one of the most viscious looking wheels Ive seen, certainly by ford. Ford should have never gave the V6 performance pck those exclusive 19 inch wheels. Besides, if more V6 guys didnt try to look like they got a shelby, the V8 stang owners might show their lil bro some love. Those 331 gears dont overcome the huge wheels when you punch it from cruising speed. 90% of defending your cars honor is a pull up confrontation about a 30 to 40mph. But, the car lacked acceleration on third anf fourth gear punches vs base model. The wheels, from just the right angle are hideously sick on any color stang. When I walked up to the 18 mustangs they had on the lot, that car caught my eye. I drove a charcoal grey performance v6 w black mach wheels before anything else. On the hieght, Ford put 19s on the performance package which I think is too tall. Personally, I wouldnt go beyond max spec on width, which is 8.5. My take, for what its worth, the car will not only perform its full potential, but look the way the v6 should with modest sized wheels and tires. When I was at the track in my V6 last friday night, a guy in another 3.7 v6 with huge 19 or 20 inch chrome wheels was in line just a few cars in front of me.
